What does Tammie do?

Tammie is not your typical Onset Scenic. She goes above and beyond to work with all departments. Her understanding of what the shot needs goes beyond the day of production; it extends to her past in art application and her study of light and color theory.

As a Camera Scenic, Tammie has the ability to understand exactly what the camera department needs. On set of a recent production, she painted in a shadow that brought three-dimensionality to an insert photo, reading nicely on camera.

On set of The Hate U Give, when the make up department’s temporary tattoos arrived and weren’t working, Tammie was able to hand paint the actors tattoo speedily.

As a scenic, Tammie has brought the dead back to life… In a sense. On the production of Goosebumps (2018), a bush on camera was dead that needed to “look alive.” Tammie made it come back to life. That’s the ability she has with a brush and her highly skilled sense of color.

With a background as a graphic designer and illustrator, and knowledge of many mediums, it’s easy for Tammie to think of quick solutions when departments are in a pinch.

Every set is unique, coming with its own set of challenges. Tammie is the safety net that production managers often wish they had. Tammie has an established track record in the film production industry with a success rate to show it.
